La maleta perfecta

I'm not the first one, and of course I won't be the last one, who writes about 'the perfect luggage'. Easier now in the summer than during the winter, here you have a few tips to fit half of your closet in a really small space (especillay if, like me, you're a user of low cost companies...):

1. You're travelling, not moving, wich means you don't need to take all your clothes with you. Count the number of days you'll be out and make a list with outfits for everyday. You'll need to think about day and night outfits so you don't find yourself with nothing to wear on your last night...
2. Even though you'll think I'm crazy, don't fold your clothes, rolled it. This way you'll avoid part of the wrinkles each piece of clothing will have for sure when you arrive to your destination... Put shoes, jeans, sweaters, etc. at the bottom of the suitcase and lighter clothes (dresses, shirts...) at the top.
3. If the space in the suitcase is really small or if you're travelling during the winter use shoes and especially boots to stash socks and underwear (always inside a plastic bag, of course!). You'll save a lot of space with this!
4. Keep all your toiletries together in a soft cosmetic bag, and try to take the smallest ones you got. You're travelling for a few days, you don't need the 200ml body milk! (plus, if you're travelling by plane and not checking in your luggage they won't let you in). You can also put inside your jewellery...
5. Don't forget the hair drier (if like me you dry your hair everyday), your cell phone, camera and all the chargers you may need. It's a pain in the ass if the first thing you need to do when you arrive to your destination is going to buy a charger, sd card, etc.
6. Two bags/purses is enough, you won't have time to change your stuff from one to another everyday, so don't carry extra ones... Don't forget a beach bag if you're travelling to the beach!
7. And don't forget your pajama. Except if you do it on purpose...

All things said, enjoy the rest of the summer! I'm starting my vacation tomorrow and I'm really happy to say 'Bye bye Madrid, I won't see in the next couple of weeks!'.

.........................................................................................
